Predator: Badlands begins with a remote research team stationed deep within the rugged, wind-scorched canyons of the American Southwest. Tasked with studying unusual seismic activity, the scientists notice strange readings that resemble neither earthquakes nor natural phenomena. When communication with a nearby outpost suddenly goes silent, the team sends a small group to investigate, only to find the camp abandoned, equipment destroyed, and scorch marks across the rocks—marks that no known weapon could have made. The survivors quickly realize they are not alone and that something invisible is stalking them from the shadows of the ravines.

As the story unfolds, we follow Maya Torres, a former Marine turned geologist who leads the research team. Maya’s instincts tell her that the threat is not human, and her suspicions are confirmed when one of her team members is attacked by an unseen force. When the creature finally reveals itself—a towering Predator equipped with advanced desert-adapted armor—it becomes clear that the Badlands have become its new hunting ground. This Predator, more cunning and brutal than previous ones, uses the canyons as a natural maze, driving its prey into dead ends before striking with precision.
Meanwhile, a nearby Navajo community reports sightings of strange lights and missing livestock, prompting local tracker Eli Yazzie to investigate. Eli, who knows the terrain better than anyone, encounters Maya’s group as they flee through the canyon system. Recognizing the signs of a supernatural enemy from ancient tribal stories, Eli reluctantly joins forces with Maya to protect both their people and their land. Together, they devise a plan to outsmart the Predator by luring it into the most unforgiving part of the Badlands—a place where even the hunter could become vulnerable.

As the Predator grows more aggressive, the survivors face dwindling supplies and harsh desert conditions. The tension escalates during a nighttime chase illuminated only by moonlight and the Predator’s glowing targeting system. Maya and Eli discover that the creature is collecting trophies for an unknown ritual, suggesting this hunt is more than sport—it is a proving ground for a new class of Predator seeking dominance within its own species.
In the final confrontation, Maya and Eli use their knowledge of geology and terrain to trigger a controlled rockslide, trapping the Predator in a narrow ravine. The battle is brutal and desperate, pushing both to the edge. Though gravely wounded, the Predator refuses to yield, forcing Maya to make a final stand using its own discarded weaponry. When the creature finally falls, the Badlands fall silent once more.

The film ends with Maya and Eli standing at sunrise atop the canyon ridge, knowing that though they survived, the hunt may not be over—because if one Predator came to the Badlands, others may follow.
